Every price is read from an operator's own published rate, and every cost page carries the date it was collected and a link to where it came from. Where we only cover part of a metro's licensed facilities, the page says so and says which direction that skews the number.

What we are — and aren’t

We are a consumer data publisher. We are not a care provider, a facility, an agency, or a referral service. No community can pay to change its numbers, and no answer on this site sits behind an email or phone-number wall.

How we make money

Exploreist is advertising-supported. If you choose to use an optional service we link to — like connecting with a local advisor — a partner may pay us. That never changes the data, and the data always comes first on the page. Our full rules are in the editorial policy.

Why this exists

Senior-care pricing is deliberately opaque: most sites that promise “average costs” are lead funnels that trade your phone number for a salesperson. We think families comparing care at a stressful moment deserve the actual numbers. Publishing them — with the collection dates and sources attached — is the whole product.

Tell us we’re wrong

Prices change and operators update their rate sheets. If a number here does not match what a community quoted you, we want to know: send the page and what you were quoted to our contact page and we will re-check the source and correct it. Corrections are made on the page itself, with the date changed. How we handle them is written down in the editorial policy, and the collection rules are in the methodology.

Press and data questions go to the same place. We will share the underlying collection for any figure we publish.
