That really depends on what you're looking for. If you want to enjoy all that our beautiful city has to offer, then we recommend visiting between March and May or September and November. These months offer the perfect balance of mild weather and fewer crowds. However, if you're looking to escape the cold and enjoy some sun, then winter is a great time to visit San Diego!
Again, this depends on the time of year you're visiting. During the summer months, it's important to pack light, loose-fitting clothing and plenty of sunscreen. In the winter months, you'll want to pack warmer clothes, but you can still leave your heavy coat at home. No matter what time of year you visit, we recommend packing comfortable shoes since you'll likely be doing a lot of walking.
The best way to get around San Diego is by car. However, if you're not renting a car, there are still plenty of options for getting around. The San Diego Trolley system is a great way to get around downtown and the surrounding areas. You can also take advantage of our city's many pedicabs or take an Uber or Lyft.
